Who We Are

Volleyball Market was born in April of 2003. From 2004 - 2008 Volleyball Market was the fastest growing volleyball specialty company in the U.S.A. Great prices, friendly service, attention to detail and a laser sharp focus on superior customer care laid the foundation for this explosive growth. Today Volleyball Market remains a staunch supporter of the grassroots development of our sport, and as a member of the Third Degree Sportswear, Inc. family of companies, is actively seeking ways to do even more. Our recent partnership with the Side Out Foundation & "Dig Pink" is just one example of our focus on outreach and giving back.

The founder and Chief Volleyball Officer of the Volleyball Market is Greg Saunders, widely recognized in the sporting goods industry as a pioneer in the volleyball catalog, internet and team sales areas. After a short period as a high school history teacher and volleyball coach (1975-76), Greg went to work for AB&S Sporting Goods, at that time the largest sporting goods team sales dealer on the West Coast. In 1979, Saunders founded the Volleyball Emporium, and joined the coaching staff at NCAA Division 1 Loyola Marymount University as the #1 Assistant Coach for Men’s volleyball. In 1981 Greg and Val Keller cofounded the Volleyball One Catalog Company. He also became the Head Coach for the Men’s Volleyball program at LMU. Under Saunders guidance Volleyball One (1981-2002) became the largest volleyball catalog retailer in the North America, and the LMU men’s volleyball program enjoyed significant success from 1981-1984. During this same period Saunders held a variety of volunteer positions with USA Volleyball as well as the Southern California Volleyball Association.

In 2011 Volleyball Market began an exciting new chapter in our history as we merged with Third Degree Sportswear, Inc. the market leader in custom made athletic uniforms since 1988.
